Travel + Scrapbooking

When Richie and I were packing for Hawaii. I couldn't forget to pack my travel kit. When I say that I mean my SCRAP travel kit. I had my eye on purchasing one of Amy Tangerine's travel kits, but they were sold out everywhere I turned. I had to come up with something else. I used my Studio Calico burlap synch bag that I get in my monthly kits. I packed my Amy Tangerine mini book, stickers, my instax and favorite journaling pens. Other than the beaches, warm weather and time alone with my guy. I was especially excited for photo walks. I couldn't wait to fill up my travel book with thoughts and memories. It is still missing some ephemera and pics, but I am happy with what I had done while there.

First outdoor shoot of the year

My best friend was gracious enough to allow me the privilege of photographing her this past Sunday. We went to a nearby park and the weather was practically perfect. It was chilly and I felt bad that she was cold, but we got some great shots. She was so great at posing for some beautiful photos. I was also very eager to give my new macro lens a try and I loved it! I just ordered a 50mm 1.4 which I am very excited to receive! Gotta love Amazon!

I have been eyeballing this monthly kit for a while. I finally signed up tonight and I cannot wait to get our first box! It is a super cute idea. I know Maci will love it! It includes 2 projects in each kit. One for Mommy & Maci. One for Daddy & Maci. Can't wait. They also have a refer your friends rewards so if you sign up be sure to mention us:D hehe!
Check it out HERE

I am sooooo excited to be on the Studio Calico Project Life Kit Club! This was last months kit and I am counting down the (7) days until the new kit comes. I am addicted to these kits. They are like a surprise every month on the door step! Plus I love everything Studio Calico does. I'll be sure to post pix of the next kit AS SOON AS IT COMES.

Time to convert to the new stuff!

I got an itch tonight to convert my old pages that are stored in traditional albums, into My American Crafts 3 Ring albums. It's hard to believe that 5 years ago my "old" albums were so popular. I never really enjoyed buying them like I do all other scrapbooking items. It always use to annoy me that I couldn't fit more page protectors in them! There are so many products I could have capitalized on had I acted on those ideas and feelings.

Well it feels good to condense and get some more shelf space. Now I have a great excuse to get more albums.
